The objectives of the Asian Nuclear Safety Network (ANSN) is to pool and
share existing and new technical knowledge
and practical experience in the South East Asian Region to improve the safety of nuclear
installations.
It aims at the sustainability of national and regional nuclear safety
infrastructures and optimum use of existing and new nuclear safety
information and is implemented in the frame of the IAEA's Extrabudgetary
Programme (EBP) on the Safety of Nuclear Installations in the South
East Asia, Pacific and Far East Countries.
The participating countries are: China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea,
Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam. Australia, France, Germany, and
USA provide in-kind and/or financial support to the project. The IAEA
plays a coordinating and facilitating role in the ANSN implementation.
